Legislation
The processing of personal data by the Public Security Police is governed by
Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council – the
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Law No. 58/2019 of 8 August, and Law
No. 59/2019 of 8 August.
Data
Controller
As the controller of personal data, the Public Security Police:
- Ensures
that personal data is processed solely for the purposes for which it was
collected, or for purposes compatible with those;
- Collects,
processes, and retains only the personal data necessary for the identified
purposes;
- Does
not transmit personal data for commercial or advertising purposes;
- Processes
personal data in accordance with legal obligations or in order to provide
services requested by the user.

Conditions of Personal Data Processing
- Registration
for PSP’s online services;
- Completion
of online service forms and the respective procedural handling, including
notifications;
- Compliance
with legal obligations or judicial orders;
- Prevention,
detection, investigation, or prosecution of criminal offences, or
execution of criminal penalties;
- Fulfilment
of other responsibilities assigned to the PSP.
Confidentiality
and Privacy
The PSP processes personal data in a fair and transparent manner, ensuring the
confidentiality and security of the information requested, and guaranteeing
that such data is used solely for the purposes explicitly indicated and/or
legally authorised.
Collection
and Processing of Personal Data
Only the personal data strictly necessary for the intended purpose is collected
and processed.
Access,
Security, and User Identification
All personal data provided via online service forms is protected by security
measures designed to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure.
Right of
Access, Rectification, Updating, and Erasure of Data
The PSP ensures the right of access to personal data being processed. Data
subjects may request its updating, rectification, portability, erasure,
restriction of processing, or object to its processing, subject to legally
prescribed exceptions and without affecting the lawfulness of processing
carried out up to that point.
Retention
Period
Personal data is retained for the period necessary for processing in accordance
with the respective purpose. Retention periods may be extended where justified
by public interest or for historical, scientific, or statistical purposes.
Acceptance
and Amendments to the Privacy Policy
By providing your personal data, you confirm that you are aware of and accept
the terms of this Privacy Policy, authorising the collection and processing of
personal data where consent is required for lawful processing.
